Radio Shack one sucked. Been there. Returned it. Bought one form a Spy Shop in Tacoma, but the most important parts are the cable, and the DVR in which to record without making your computer do it. The software we have used turns itself off. Before tat it was crashing. DVR eliminates that. The camera is only the beginning of what will be needed. Also if you are recording outside you may want to go wireless. We are wireless and the gear for that IS NOT at Radio Shack.

We have a Wisecomm indoor outdoor camera.it is out by our gate, see my blogs to see why.

Good luck..

those cams have intense/consistent call for for uninterrupted skill, and photograph voltaic is unreliable to grant consistent direct powering. i think of you will prolly finally end up powering the cameras with the help of batteries that are in turn, stored charged with the help of way of close by photograph voltaic cells. Even greater efficient and greater sturdy is to run low-voltage hardwiring to each digicam area from a mandatory skill source, including a120AC/DC transformer. Then use photograph voltaic to warmth water, or skill low-voltage lighting fixtures. solid luck!
