I could say "Some people think Spanish means Mexico. Get over it." I could also ask you what you consider English, seeing your spelling. Or I could notice that no one thinks Spanish means Mexico, because everybody knows that Spanish is a language or nationality, and Mexico is a country.
But I'd rather answer you seriously, that I, as an Argentinian, consider Spanish (or more precisely Castillian) to be my native language, as well as that of twenty-odd countries in most continents, mainly America (Yes, America IS the whole continent, not just the USA!), and Spain, in Europe, but also the Philippines in Asia, and Equatorial Guinea in Africa. And I also consider Spanish to be the adjective to refer to anything or anyone that comes from Spain.

Spanish language?
It can mean many things
Americans tend to call spanish speaking people "Spanish"
for lack of vocabulary or as you put it IGNORANCE,
If mexicans are Spanish, then
Americans are English.
that's the logic of Americans.
I wonder how come Americans became the world power with such poor way of thinking.

Do you mean "Who" do you consider Spanish. If you are referring to people you cannot use "what", as that is reserved for objects. If I were to answer your question as it is I would have to say "Spanish" is a language. If you had used "who" I would say the Spanish are people from Spain, or People descended from Spain.

Generally, anyone who spells the English word "consider" as "consdier" is considered Spanish. Relax! I'm just kidding - My step-mom is from the Dominican Republic.

A language spoken in many countries. It is the official language of some countries too.
BUT not this country. Please learn english, we should not have to spend money on getting everything changed to get along with people who came here by choice. We were born here and did not choose. So immigrants should change their living to this society, language, etc.
