I just got a 46 in lcd and I have digital cable, so i connected the digital cable to the back of the tv and I go to DTV and nothing comes up. but when i go to TV the cable works there? why isnt my tv able to utilize my digital cable? thanks in advance. mike

Hey Mike, why don't you just call the cable company? They can help you a heckuva lot better than we can. And go back and re-read my post on your most recent question. Boosting digital signals will have absolutely no affect on signal quality.

Digital signal piggybacks on analog TV signal the same way as cable Internet services do, so TV is not able to use digital signal without some kind of converter box.

I phoned in my cable TV provider about replacing a rental converter box with some box off eBay, they say the Cox box won't work on Rogers because networks are locked to each other. I think that is similar to what issue you have with the DTV tuner within your new LCD TV.
