Zero population growth is when every couple have on average 2.1 kids (or something near that). The 2 kids to "replace" the mother and father once they die, while the 0.1 kid accounts for everyone who dies before they have a child themselves.
This in theory would mean that the same number of people would live on earth in say 10 years, as they do now.

Means that every day if there is a certain number of people born for example 100 babies born, in the same day exactly 100 peole die. In the bigger picture of society within the country or wherever you are focusing on, Zero pop growth is bad for the econnomy cos we need growth to continue our personal wealth, need to study economics to fully understand.

what it means is that for every newborn there is a death and the ratios of death are identical which would cause nothing to change in the amount of population!which means that the # in population would be/stay the same until the death and birth rate ratios change or increase, which then is the only way to either increase or decrease the population!

Treating human beings like farm animals, such that for every new one thats born you kill an old one, and there is no change in population.
Its typically talked about in reference to chinese population control, and to "sustainable" economic models.

I would guess that this is a population that is either stagnant or is about to decline (like extinction).
