it's called a shrine...or an altar....as long as the Buddha is placed just over head level (when you are seated in meditation....not standing) you can decorate your altar with all things you desire which bring you a sense of peace, relaxation and harmony...it's your Altar....express yourself freely. there is no right or wrong.
