my little brother just made 14 yrs old. On his last report card he got 4 Fs and 2 Bs. this is his first year in highschool. my father has been asking for my lil bro to come live with him for a while now along with his 3 other sons, but my mother was not willing to give him up. Now, she is thinking about sending himto ATL because she does not feel there is much more she can do for My lil bro. My little brother and i are extremely close. i am his only sister and moms say we act like we are married. I am afraid that i will be lonely, but i do want what is best for Dino. (if this is even what is best for him) if i know my bro, i think he will be the same down there as he is up here. he is more of a friendly person who gets along with everybody anywhere he goes. he is a very popular person and I think that is what is distracting him because he is not at all stupid. he is just not focused enoughh. Like i said, him going to ATL will not solve much or nothing... *groans* what do you think?

its good to be close with your siblings its not good however to be each others soul friendships. if your brother is not doing well at home for whatever reason and your mom has thrown her arms in the air and said theres nothing more she can do then he absolutly needs to go live with someone who might be able to put him back on the right track someone who hasnt yet given up on him dont you want whats best for him? do you think it would be best for him to be a high shcool drop out as a freshman? the longer your parents take to get him on the right path the harder it will be in the end its worth a try isnt it .

I don't think it's a good idea for a 14 year old to move from a place where he has friends and acceptance to a new and unfamiliar place. I would not recommend this UNLESS he really wants to do this himself and he is not being FORCED to do this.
If your father is willing to maybe he could pay for a tutor for your bro and he can stay where he is..
Good luck!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I live in the ATL area and it's not a good place to raise kids!! He'll find a lot of trouble here, the kids here are very wild, I'm a parent and have worked with kids here as well, there are a lot of drugs and crime here.
