It's the same with any bad behaviour, a firm NO will get the idea into their head eventually, along with a treat whenever they do it outside. There is also some pet deterrent spray you can get at the pet store

The poor dog is confused...but you shouldn't be. Pete would like to do what you want him to do. He just doesn't understand what it is you want.
Its on your shoulders. First you have to thoroughly clean all the pee spots. This is a must .Your local pet store will have some odor removers. Then you have to watch him very closely. whenever he start to sniffing around and began to lift his leg, stop him immediately with a stern "NO...BAD DOG"! then immediately take him outside. Always take him to the same spot.
Put him on an eating schedule and time how long after he eats before he has to go. Then you will know when to take him outside. You can do the same with his water.
Persistence and diligence will eventually reward you. As I said before Pete will eventually get the message and all will be well. Reward him with a treat when he pees outside...always in the same area.
Success depends on you. Good luck.

it should help a lot to have him neutered. this will cut down on the marking--it may not eliminate it, but it will definitely cut down on it. it will also eliminate the humping of other things, like your leg or other dogs.
i've heard this a lot and i believe it. puppies usually don't have much of a clue about what peeing and pooping is till they're around six months old. i think before six months they just go when they feel the urge. at about six months they start realizing what's going on and that they can control it.
i would just keep taking pete out a lot, make a big fuss over him every time he pees or poops outside.
i would definitely check into crate training pete. it makes your life easier and his life better. crate training will also help cut down on accidents.
if pete is a slow learner, you could buy him a belly band to wear inside the house. this covers up his weiner and will discourage him from hiking a leg in the house.
best of luck with your pup. i'd google crate training--its the only way to go in my opinion.

I would have him neutered as soon as he is old enough. Probably in about a month. For now, keep a very close watch on him and as soon as he lifts his leg, very sternly say no and take him outside right away to show him that's the only place where it is ok to urinate. Whatever you do, don't rub his nose in it. That really does no good at all. Dogs want to please their owners so let him know you aren't pleased with his marking by talking sternly and putting him out. Good luck with your puppy and have many years of love.

What is up with you a 3month old puppy don't even know how to lift his leg yet I think you are on drugs or something strange. Looks like you need to get a book on dogs. Learn a little about what a dog is and what they can and can't do

He is marking his territory, except in your house. The only fix for this is to house train your pup or take him to a trainer like at Petsmart or Petco and pay them to train him like once or twice a week. He should stop after a month or so. Good luck!

neutering will help...anytime you can catch him in the act, you will get the most effectiveness out of ur discipline...when i was training my rattie, i kept a squirt bottle near me at all times...if i saw him starting any bad behavior, i'd squirt him in the back of the head...ratties are quick learners and he will quickly relate the behavior with the unpleasantness of the water
