If you want a honest answer YES
At this time of my life retired, the thought of death creeps in often. It might be because I've been ill more this year than ever before.
My heart is right, I'm assured I'll go to heaven but the part of my body decaying in a casket. Scares me to death.....LOL...REALLY bad choice of words....BUT....it's time to decide do i want to be cremated burned like a apple pie I baked this week lol or buried in the casket.to turn into ashes like the bottom of the stove when I cleaned it two weeks ago.......I wish there was choice number 3? maybe it would be easier to decide. Well , I might leave these choices to my husband and son....but if they can't decide what to do with me...I might be on ice for awhile..lol

You can't help feel but get scared for experiencing something new and unknown. If you have time to think, the thought of permanently leaving your love ones will dominate your thoughts. A panic reaction will envelop you as your body naturally struggles to stay alive. As the reality of end rushes you, pain grips as terror parlyzes you. All these years you have ignored what happens after death and if there really is a God, now you only have seconds to contemplate what is in store for you as you weaken and die all alone.
So this might be a good time to find things such as resurrection hope, who is the true God while you can still confidently count on that you will be waking up tomorrow.

The thought of dying does not scare me. The thought of leaving loved ones who needs me does. I have at least another 10 -12 years on earth to serve. I will raise my baby and give him as much time as I can.

Yes! I'm not ready to die. I assume that when my time comes around, I'll be less scared of the process.
I think it's something like....when a parent thinks about their child moving out and living on their own at the age of 8, the parent is terrified....but when the child is 24, the parent is ok with the change, and no longer considers the change a loss.
Time takes it's course and death will come in it's appropriate time.

If I die, I know I will be with the Lord, my mother and father and many other relatives and friends that have gone on before me. So when it's time, I will be looking forward to that because what a reunion it will be, The thought of suffering scares me a little. But I know the Lord will not give me any pain that I can not handle.

I would be less than honest if I said it didn't. The thought of death by drowning or being run over by a car or something isn't really very pleasant. Dying itself is fine with me, as I know Jesus Christ. It's just a horrible way to go, if you take my meaning!

No, the thought of being dead isn't scary. If you had said 'Does the thought of dying in a fiery car wreck scare you?' I would say yes. Or being eaten by a shark... Yes.... Drowning... Yes... Pain during death is what scares me.

I am not so worried about what will happen to me after death as of what will happen to those I leave behind- my husband and baby and my parents. Also, I must admit I am afraid of dying a painful, scary or prolonged death. I do not lose sleep over it though cause there is nothing I can do about it.

According to the Bible, this is the condition of the dead.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.

I think the physical part of the dying is going to be scary. Knowing something is happening, but not knowing what.
But knowing I will be in heaven and seeing all my family that has gone on before me, makes it all OK,
