Prejudice is cause from ignorance and fear...and they don't understand how anyone can be athiest and so it follows they don't trust. I do.

Why are you blaming Christians? If you read down further it was a christian that actually said that they believed that atheist do care for human good but what makes us different is that we are concerned with God's will and not man's will. In my opinion that really isn't insulting you for what you believe in it just states the difference. I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but I don't want my child marring an atheist myself for the simple reason they don't feel like they have anyone to answer to so there's no limitations.

If you were running toward a cliff and I yelled at you to stop and turn around, would you think I was intolerant of your ability to run?
Jesus is the One who said that He is the only way to the Father. For Christians to say that there are other ways to find peace with God is to bear false testimony. In one sweeping statement, Jesus discards all other religions as a means of finding forgiveness of sins. This agrees with other Scriptures: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12), and "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
That does not mean that Christians do not love people who embrace different beliefs. The Bible commands us to love our neighbors and our enemies. But if you ask me how to have eternal life I will tell you there is only one way.
It would be wrong of me to lie to you just to spare your feelings; this is too important. I have told you the truth. What you do with the information is up to you.

look at half of the questions on here... everyone has someone to tear down and mock.
in all fairness, the majority of america is not actually christian. and out of those that consider themselves to be, how many do you think really go to church or read the bible?
i am sorry. i am a christian (and i actually attend church and read the bible), and believe me, im not so proud of what many "christians" do or say. christianity is the admittance that no one is perfect-- far from it... that we all sin... and that no one person is EVER better than another. in reality, i am no better than the drunk laying in the gutter. my morals are no better and i probably mess up twice as much as anyone else. to trust christians more just means that one is trusting the admitted sinners and idiots of the world... really... that's in the bible.

I don't think it is the last acceptable prejudice. After all, more hate crimes are against those of jewish decent than any other ethnicity, race or religion. I think that Isreal is a sign to the world God exists; and the enemies of God wish to make Him a liar. We know as Christians, because we follow Him we will be persecuted. Did you think that this would not be true? And, as He promised the Bride will become without spot or wrinkle for when He returns...

Minnesota daily? You should really fact check that. Because I believe that with the GOP in the state it is, criminal and flaunting a "what-chaw gonna do about it?", is the least trusted by both Christians and others. In simpler terms, the government is shady and watch yo back cuz Big Brother is watching.

I don't know, I'm living in the south right now, and I see quite a bit of prejudice. It's all acceptable down here.

if you read some of the Christian "questions" to Atheists you'll notice that they're often making a basic assumption that if one doesn't believe in a deity that punishes wickedness that one will go wildly berserk and commit all manner of heinous acts. apparently some Christians can't imagine themselves being good and loving folks and having ethics without having threats of hell as an inducement to decent behavior. therefore if you're an atheist you have no boundaries to your behavior because you have no fear of a torturous afterlife. i guess some Christians aren't good people because they want to be but because they think they have to be. apparently without hell yawning under their feet they'd go wildly berserk and commit all manner of heinous acts.
PS. note ckrug's post.

I don't get it, either! My brother and my wife are atheists (actually, my brother calls himself an "apatheist.") They're very sweet people, for the most part. Then again, I'm Pagan, so I get some prejudice, too.
