Suicide during your 20's or a lifetime of isolation...no spouse, no kids, no career?

What about all that bad stuff and then suicide in your 30's?

You sound depressed.
I wish I could give you a big gramma hug!

Suicide is one of the worst things, ever, that can happen when you love someone. It is a lifelong burden to carry. You never, ever get over the pain and guilt of someone you love committing suicide. Never.

Hang in there. Things WILL improve in your life! Get some counseling. If one counselor sucks, try another. I truly do understand those feelings.

I have a son in his late twenties who might describe himself the way you have, and I love him so much, I worry about him, but I don't see those as "bad things" ... just as where he is at. He is the sunshine of my life. I don't know how I would handle things without him.

Suicide would make them feel the worst. Isolation can be cured, but death sadly cannot. Judging by the way you phrased your question, I'm assuming that you're going to attempt one of the two. Please don't. I know that there isn't much I can say to talk you out of it, but please don't try either. Your life is far more valuable than revenge on your parents for something that they might have done with your best interests at heart, but you didn't know it. Be happy in this lifetime. You only get a chance to really live once.

Suicide doesn't hurt you, it hurts everyone else - even those you think don't care - like parents
Don't believe me? ask someone who lost someone to suicide.
I rate it right up there with losing someone to a doctor's "oops!".
My youngest son is an isolated 20's person. Every once in a while, he thinks back on his life and what consequences his choices have brought, and then he chooses to turn his life around again - one day, one hour, one minute, or one second at a time. It's those times that I am able to forgive and forget all the not-so-perfect past. I am proud of him for making that choice. I don't worry myself with all the what-ifs and the it-happened-before stuff. Unconditional love is what I have for my kids
Unconditional love - that's what most parents give their kids
Unconditional love

Of course if you would do either just to hurt your parents then
shame on you!

Suicide. Your life is what you make of it. You will not always be alone. You can always make friends, get pets, go to college, get jobs..meet the love of your life. People need to understand the devastation that suicide causes. What it does to the people you leave behind. If you are thinking of suicide, please don't. Talk to someone. You will never know the wonders and beauty life has in store for you unless you live it!

The worst thing you can do is assume that things will never get better. Welcome the challenges of life. We all have them. Without them, we couldn't appreciate the good things that will come our way. You have the power to make things better. Suicide is never the answer.

Please don't waste one more minute - get some help. Let someone you trust know how lonely and despondent you are.

There is nothing, NOTHING worse for a parent than losing a child. The fact that you are on this site and asking that question means you want help and understanding - and that somewhere deep inside you still have hope for the future. PLEASE talk to someone. Nothing is ever as hopeless as it seems.
