I asked a friend out just because I was tired of the dating scene and wanted to have fun being me, although I think now, it's not as entirely platonic as when I first asked him on my part. Should I pursue him or leave it be?

kinda depends if you two are great friends and have been so for a while, i say leave it alone. im currently in a five year relationship with someone who started out as a great friend and were on the verge of breaking up. sometimes i really wish it could have stayed the way it was before we ruined it.

Try an feel him out to see if he might feel the same way as you do. Just take it from there. I think if he feels the same as you. You will start to see some subtle clues. If not then just leave it be. So you don't lose your friend.

Do you like him? If so, pursue him. He could be the one you've been looking for. If he is, that would rescue you from the dating scene!

That's of course the danger of platonic relationships, they occasionally become more and can complicate things tremendously.

If he feels the same way you do then persue, if not leave it be. Good friends are hard to find. However, I've been married 32 years to my best friend.

You didn't mention whether he felt that same way about you. Maybe you need to figure this out first otherwise you may ruin a good friendship
