It could mean 1 of 2 things, that your significant other is a really busy person, or that they are too busy for you. My boyfriend of 3 years seemed to be too busy for me for about the last 4 months. He has 2 teenage sons that lives with him plus a grandson. He is the only one in the family working and bringing in any money. His sons are very lazy and never help around the house, so everything is left up to my boyfriend to do. For a while it seemed like he never had time for me, but when I thought about it, he really is busy. He drives the church bus on Sunday morning and nite, and then again on Wed nite, he cuts the grass at church, does all the maintenance at church, goes on visitation once a week, plus tries to keep up with his laundry and house stuff, plus holds down a 40-50hr job. We always go to a movie on Sat nite, and go out to dinner a couple times a week, and now since it has gotten colder, he doesn't have grass to cut. So we are getting to spend more time together. So to answer your question , HE REALLY COULD BE BUSY.

Probably, exactly that. The person is so self-involved - and maybe for very justifiable reasons - that it is impossible to take on any additional emotional stress right now. Don't take it personally. But, do take it seriously. Back off and allow passage of this armored car you are trying to have a relationship with and let it speed by you on the road of life.
