I don't think that God looks like anything. I think that when he chose to come to Earth, he took the human form of Jesus, because we probably would have just shot and ate a blue elephant or a flying spaghetti monster. If you are referring to the fact that we are made in him image, that is referring to having free will, not that we are literally mirror images of him.

Has each and every physique theory how ridiculous that sounds. we are seem human using fact of genetic and actual impacts. Why might God seem human? Do you fairly think of that God has epidermis or a suggestions or a heart? Why might he want a mouth? To breath oxygen? to talk? Why might he want blood? Is there oxygen and glucose in heaven? For crying out loud, use some consumer-friendly experience for as quickly as and don't have faith in each and every international the bible says using fact it fairly undermines christianity and says to the international that "you're no longer something yet a team of suggestions washed fools"

Have you seen South Park's version of God? He's a blue hippo with the tongue of a frog and the body of a buffalo.
Since I'm not Christian, I can't say. But I think its just easier for people to accept and believe in something that resembles themselves. Just like we think certain animals are "cute" because they do things that resemble "human" mannerisms. Since we are intelligent beings, we like to believe that if there is a great magnificent being who created all of life...he must look like us.

He's a turtle...think about it...they are the longest living species on the planet, and they do things very slowly..and they care not a fig for us..they just exist and be.
The old woman and the physicist were having an argument about what holds the world up..The phys has all of his documents and scientific proof about the gravitation forces etc but the old woman insists that the world is supported on the back of a turtle.
The Phys gets exhausted and thinks he can trip her up and says to her "then what is holding the turtle?"
The old woman shakes her finger at him and says "you can't fool me young man, it's turtles ALL THE WAY DOWN".

Oh please, they have to "humanize" him to make him appealing to us. Do you really think if he looked like the most evil demon or 6 eyed monster we would worship and cherish him? I was brought up catholic- I think it would be a hoot if I was back in kindergarten and going into church and see a scary monster instead of a human on the cross, how many christians do you think would still be around today if that were true?

God is a concept created by man. God as a concept of man - is the one who created everyone, and whose will prevails. Man wants to be in such a powerful position - that's why he imagined a human form for God.

What does God look like? Ultimately, I do not think there is an answer to this question that we can truly comprehend. God is a spirit (John 4:24), and so His appearance is not like anything we can describe. Exodus 33:20 tells us, “But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” We, as sinful human beings, are incapable of even seeing God in all His glory and living. His appearance is utterly unimaginable.
The Bible describes God appearing to people on various occasions. These should not be understood as describing exactly what God looks like, but rather as God revealing Himself to us in a way that we can understand. Two passages that powerfully describe God’s appearance are Ezekiel 1:26-28 and Revelation 1:14-16.
Ezekiel 1:26-28, “Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.” Revelation 1:14-16, “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.”
So, as you can see, God’s appearance is indescribable. These passages represent Ezekiel’s and John’s best attempts at describing the glory of God that they witnessed. So, what does God look like? If I am forced to come up with a description of what God looks like, I suppose the best description of God’s appearance is an extremely bright light, the most intense, purest light imaginable.

Well... the Bible says that we were created in His IMAGE. Image is the key word here.
The word in Old Hebrew is tseh' lem. It means literally: to shade, a phantom, an illusion, resemblance, hence a figure.

We read in the book of Genisis that we were created in His image. So we assume that since we have two arms, two legs, ten fingers, then toes, eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, that he also has such things.
