everyone is complaining and whining about illegal immigration but no one seems to come up with real immigration reforms. any human with an iota of common sense know that mass deportation(antil illegal) or full amnesty (pro illegal)is not the way to go. Why cant we meet somewhere in the middle and come up with a solution that will be beneficial to both sides? A win-win situation. Lets say for example:every illegal must pay fines, be registered & go thru background check and NOT become a public burden i.e. collect welfare & other gov't aid for 5 yrs (special exemptions can always be made in dire situations); will not be eligible for certain benefits if they haven't paid into the system;criminals will automatically be deported;must show financial capacity to sustain themselves for the first 3 yrs of conditional residency;make english the official language; after 5 yrs of conditional residency if everything looks okay be given a 10 yr permanent residency with ability to become citizen.....

if illegals really want a chance at legal status, they will jump at this opportunity, either way we will know exactly how many illegals we have in the country and we can control the influx of illegals thereafter....there would be a cutoff date as to when they can get registered and be "visible" in the US. failure to report will result in automatic deportation and make it a felony thereafter. hence the pro illegals cant complain we didnt give them a chance.

with the increase of immigrant applicants becuz of illegals, the DHS & ICE can hire more people and make more jobs available for americans; funding will come in the form of back taxes and fines paid by the illegals...

That's because nobody wants any laws, really!!!

It doesn't matter what you want and it doesn't matter what I want! The bottom line is that those who have the money need them so they can pay them serf wages! You really think a rich Republican who owns a big company that uses illegals really want that practice to stop! Then they lose money!

I am surprised why those on the right blame Democrats for this issue! It has been going on since we have been here! It is not likely to stop anytime soon, no matter how much money the Republicans throw at it! They want to build a no-bid contract fence or wall! I bet all the sub-contractors use illegals to build it!

There are so many illegals right now they could charge thousands of employers. Passing a law doesn't mean they are going to enforce it! There already is one!!

The man below can't realize it at this time but at some point down the road the boarder could be lower Mexico or the panama canal, more land mass and a smaller tip to guard at panama, some believe this will in fact happen, As for the immigration reform, well if immigration would have ever had a reputation for acting like humans ,and shown any fairness or compassion to the importance of family's, things would never have gotten so bad as they are at this point, but when a group in power disrespects family unity and has a free hand to do what ever the hell they wish to all in their path, well you are going to find that people will not obey your laws because they know it is a wast of time it will help nothing, if immigration would not have the habits of telling the public its so easy to just fill out the documents and fallow the rules, that is a bald face lie, and a insult to many peoples intelligences and makes people really mad, ( if you want to fix immigration start by removing the old mentality running it) when we can show we care about people then we will see a change in how people respond to our laws, cycle workers in and out, employers must pay a bond to make shure the worker is leaving later then he gets his bond money back, familys of citizens should not have to wait years to be together fix that, the workers must be given a card with a micro chip that can be tracked, this card will allow him our her to send money home to mexico without any transaction fees from the money the employer deposits in the account at their bank, the card and the account can be reprogramed to match each new workers profile, the best thing is, this card can be used for purchaseing items the person may need, they will like the fact that it makes using their money so easy, and immigration can know where they are by tracking the card, the worker must visit the immigration office every three months to reactivate the card and check in, if a work visa has ended the card is turned off no money in hand and no money coming from their account, i promise they will come to the immigration office very soon, remember the card is only a debit card at no time was it ever possible to get cash with it, only buy what was needed at the time, if i had money credits lock up in a bank account i would do just what i was told so i could transfur my money to my country before i left to go back home, --by the way my wife studied english for 5 years, she speaks english wrights letters in english and reads books in english, we have shown we make the money to feed us both, and have never been in jail or anything like that, she would like to work at schools here in the state i live in to help little kids who speak spanish learn to speak english, but after asking immigration what to do they said she must go back to mexico first to start the documents, after i told them she was their they said to bad now she has a 10 year bar from ever coming back into the U.S.A because she left, i'm american and iv'e been married to her for 6 years, can you see that things with immigration are not as they seam? as well they say i must prove that i will be in bad harship if she is not allowed to return to live with me, (feel free to figure that one out) i can't even start to understand how twisted they must be in that government office, so many things to change in a group of people who are very different thinkers compaired to normal humans, but until this happens immigration will always seam to be fallowing hitlers footsteps and contenue to be in the public spotlight.
