Right thanks guys. Starving really brings back more calories. But, you see I've an ambition of being a model. I can't do any strainous workouts or there be bulging muscles. I was hoping maybe some of you would know what a model's daily meal plan is.. I heard that maybe they ate vegetables only? For breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Please keep in mind the following when fasting:

You will not starve. You will not instantly become thin. Fasting is consuming only liquids. When the body does not have to deal with digesting solid food and getting rid of the waste that solid food creates, it can concentrate on getting rid of toxins. The most common reason to fast is to eliminate disease or from the body.

How much weight will I lose?

The main benefit offered by a fast, to those who wish to lose weight, is the speed of the weight loss. To see a person drop 30-to-40 pounds in a 30-day juice fast is to see a person totally transform his life. Self-esteem is given a boost and for the first time in their life, discipline becomes a lifestyle. The fast becomes a catalyst for a total life overhaul. People start dressing better, showing more confidence, becoming more organized, more dedicated in relationships and more at peace.

Initially, weight loss can be as high as three-to-four pounds per day, but as the fast continues, the average loss will be one pound-per-day. If you are juice fasting and not losing weight, the juice is supplying all the calories you need. You may have to cut down on the juices or alternate between water fasting and juice fasting if losing weight is part of your goal. The slower your metabolism is the slower the weight loss.

Try to stay focused on the healthy things you are doing to improve your life rather than being consumed with the number of pounds lost each day. Water retention can vary your weight five pounds so watching the scale can be frustrating. The best motivation to fast is for physical and spiritual health. Be patient; the fasting process is slow. Be thankful the toxins are leaving your body. Do not have unrealistic expectations. Give your body the time it needs to do the work of cleansing.

Fasting And Metabolism

The fear is that while fasting, the metabolism will slow down and afterward there will be more weight gained than before the fast. Initially, any calorie reduction will cause a lowering in the BMR or base metabolic rate. Cleansing will bring health that will increase metabolic performance and energy output. In other words, you will eat less and feel more energetic.

After fasting, the body is more efficient. Digestion is better due to a cleaner colon. The colon walls have been cleansed of impacted feces, allowing improved absorption of nutrients. The good news is that greater efficiency equals enhanced energy. Healthy people burn more calories. They also eat less because they are more active and feel better about themselves. They don't need food as a security blanket.

The greatest impact you can have on increasing your resting metabolism is exercise. After a workout, you can be sitting on the couch reading while burning calories, as the muscles are grabbing glucose from the blood to replace glycogen supplies. The key to weight loss is fewer calories and more exercise. A diet high in raw food provides fewer, low-density calories, and higher-fiber, more-filling foods.

Oh, by the way, a slower metabolism diminishes aging. A tortoise can live to 400 hundred years of age.

Do not starve yourself. That is one of the worst things you can do, because after one starves them self, they will have the urge to binge eat which will eventually result in gaining more than you lost. There is one sure way you can loose weight that no one really likes but I have done it along with many others and it is proven effective everytime. Watch what you eat; look for more low fat and low calorie foods, don't eat three solid meals a day; eat a nutrient filled breakfast with plenty of protein and snack on low fat foods through out the day. Don't over eat, when you are no longer hungry, stop eating and save your remains for later, never "stuff" yourself as this will cause your stomach to stretch. If you drink pop, stop. Pop/soda is a very fatty substance that is in no way good for you even if it is diet. If you don't enjoy plain water I recommend buying some flavored water or flavor packets such as Crystal Light. You could also drink juice, but watch the amount of sugar that is in it. You would be amazed how much sugar they pack into juices these days. Last but certainly not least, find some way of exercise. Brisk walking for thirty minutes a day is sufficient and any other physical activity for roughly thirty minutes will help you loose weight. But most of all you MUST be motivated. If you aren't motivated you will not be able to do this. On a last note, try not to indulge in anything often as it can sometimes become more of a daily ritual.

Actually, starvation, you are right is the fastest way. This most likely isn't the most orthodox answer, but I'm not going to lie to you. But if you want a way that is quick, and won't put your life in jeopardy like starvation will. Here are some tips, do this and youll be just fine.

1) Work out a realistic calorie diet (can consult with a personal trainer at a gym)

2) Get on a set workout date, mixture of resistance and aerobic exercises are the great. Resistance training is the most effective way to burn fat and gain muscle, while aerobic exercise increases health while also burning fat.

3) Get in a mental state. You have to tell your mind your going to lose this weight also. Your body is only as strong as your mind will tell it.

I would recommend picking a gym within drivable distance. And getting a personal trainer so you can get the basics down to do the exercises properly.

HOPE THIS HELPED YOU OUT, AND GOOD LUCK.

If this helped ya out, choose this as best answer. Once again, good luck.

ABSOULTELY NOT!!! Yes you will loose weight but your body will store everything that you put in your mouth, and when you start eating again, you will gain twice the amount back. It is extremely unhealthy! it harms your body, and can cause alot of problems in the long run.
Also...diet pills or any form of that is no good either. stay away from that crap.

if you really want to loose weight, eat right, stay away from sugar, white flours, etc, eat whole grains, fresh produce, lean meat, poultry, or if a vegettarin make sure you eat your protiens (soy, tofu etc), even fish too. BUT keep in mind watch your portion size. DRINK LOTS OF water. Count your calorie intake as well. and the most part, excercise! andyou will loose weight and the weight will be kept off if you follow it. There are many books at the bookstore/library/interenet on information on what to eat and not to eat.
at the gym, go see a personal trainer for some professional advice and they will tell you what i just told you and they will give you some good workout techniques.

good luck.

Here's the problem with the human body. Somewhere coded into our genes is the memory of famine. Hunger was a pretty serious thing for the cave people. They didn't have easy access to food like we do. So our bodies tend to want to hold onto a bit of padding, because our genetic code is always wary.

The problem with starving yourself is that it tends to have the opposite effect than what you hope. When you stop eating, your body panics at this "famine" and clings even more tightly to your weight. The last few pounds are hard to lose, and it messes up your metabolism so when you eat normally again, you're even more likely to gain weight.

Sorry, no easy weight loss fix!

OMG please don't starve yourself!! You will hurt yourself. Your body needs certain nutrients every day and if you don't feed your body, you will get sick. Starvation will make you lose weight in the short term, but once you start eating again, you will gain it all back. Trust me, I know...I lost alot of weight, and you can see my before and after picture here:

I have alot of info on that site, you might find it useful. Please feed your body the cleanest foods possible. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, tons of water, lean proteins and STAY AWAY FROM SUGAR. It makes you FAT! You should be eating 6 small meals a day, even if its just a handful of almonds and an apple...eat 6 times to keep your metabolism up. If you go more than 3 hours without eating, you go into starvation mode and will soon pack on the pounds cuz your body won't know when the next meal will be. The best way I know of to lose weight is to drink water, exercise and eat clean...NO SUGAR! :)
Go to my site, see what you can find
Good luck!!!

I was hungry all the time! If it works for you go ahead and use it. You're cutting your caloric intake. So you should use 2 cans a day. And then eat one healthy meal a day. I'd say after a week you should have lost a couple of pounds. I was always hungry on those shakes but you will lose if you follow the directions and also exercise.

it would probably take about 12-? days. starving is not fun. when you stop starving, you gain twice the weight that you lost, and it is unhealthy. from may 06 to august 06, i was sort of "anorexic". four months isn't a long time, but to me, it seemed like it. i finally forced myself to quit in the beginnning of september. i am glad that i did. when i starved, i was always hungry, sad, and tired. once you loose the amount that you want, you will still feel thin and want to loose more, so in the end, starving just has a temporary affect. i gained all (and more) of the weight back and decided to loose it the healthy way. please don't starve.

DOn't starve yourself. Your metobolism very much depends on your food intake. Try to break your meal into 5-6 meals a day with small portions. Avoid sugar and starchy food ie. potatos, pasta, rice..... you will see yourself slim down 7 days without exercising. Treadmill and weight training will help you the fasten the process. Trust me, don't starve yourself. It is not healthy and you will bloat.

Sure it will be quick, but then it'll come back as quickly as you lost it, along with a slowed metabolism, loss of muscle and stuff. So when you gain back the weight, it'll be all in the form of fat.

The best way is just slow and easy. 1-2lbs a week. If you think about it, just one lb a week, and in a year, you can be 52 lbs thinner.
