What are you thinking about right now?
I'm thinking I need to say "Thank you" because I just peeked at my babies, and they are snug and sound asleep in their little beds. I love you, and I appreciate you ALL! My flag is weathered, but still flying on my front porch.
Penny for you thoughts. ;^)

The question is for our troops, guys.
You know nothing about me and you know nothing about their lives. I am reaching out to them, and I really don't care to see anymore pictures of mutilated infants. Your point is well taken, but until you can tell me how many of these children you take care of on a daily basis, I really don't want to hear it...not do our respectable men and women in uniform.

Thank you for the "Thank you". I'm currently in Afghanistan. We get cards and letter from people all over the world asking the same question.
1) I wish I was going to be home for Christmas.
2) I miss my honey (see is so hot) :)
3) Breakfast this morning sucked. haha boooo KBR!
4) I pray for my folks back in Okla
5) I hope and pray that we all make it home to see our loved ones.

thanks again for asking and caring.

As a serviceman, I can honestly say it's nice to see that there still are people that support what we do. Thank you for your support. It's people like you that give all of us the encouragement and lift in morale we need to make it through. I encourage you to pay no attention to these people who talk bad about their country and their military. We know why we are here and we will remain until the job is completed.

To all of you other people who disagree with what this person is trying to do by reaching out to us. I honestly would like for you to come up to any of us face to face, and then try and tell us that we are the so called murderers you make us out to be. Until you have seen combat, and know what it's like, until you see the information that we see, and see the things we see, we have no reason to listen to you. We are in Iraq and Afghanistan trying to keep the fighting from coming to your front doors. You can criticize us all you want, but to tell you the truth, we don't want to be in a war zone. We don't take pleasure in killing anybody, in fact we would rather not kill anyone. We would rather be home with our families, but this is something we have to do to keep them and you all safe. So go on a shoot your mouths off all you want, we know that when something happens again you all will be the first to scream for us. Maybe you should take a lesson from this person who is not afraid to show some appreciation for those laying their lives on the line to keep their countries safe. I am not just talking about America, I am talking about all the countries that have come to fight for the same cause.

Thank you from a veteran.

SoothSave you are an amoralistic piece of subhuman crap. Your mother should have wiped the second time so you couldn;t crawl out of the back of her slacks.

You can thank a soldier for your freedom of speech but I doubt you would have the courage to walk up to a soldier to thank them without defecating yourself. Some day some one will teach you respect and it will be a lesson sorely learned

hey wolfman...

you say "you know why you are there".
please tell me, i honestly don't!

also you say: "We are in Iraq and Afghanistan trying to keep the fighting from coming to your front doors"

were those countries fighting (or a treat to) the USA (IN the USA?). NO! never!

iraq/saddam had NOTHING to do with 9/11 (if that 's the reason why you 're there),
nor did afghanistan (or the taliban).

in that case you should be in Saudi-Arabia.

but wait... they are the buddies of the Bush K.K.K.
we can 't go there! they got the Black Gold.

listen dude, i admire your courage, but you 're fighting the wrong fight.
go home and hold your government responsible for this mess that claims 100+ iraqi civilians every DAY!

and you who posted this question;
ARE YOU A MUM WITH COMPASSION FOR OTHER MUMS ??
i don't think so. just "bush-washed"

Why is everyone mad at soothsayer?

He's just telling the truth. the Iraqi's have lost WAY more than we have.. I don't think there's anything wrong about reflecting on that fact. To the extent we have gotten anything out of the war we should be thanking the Iraqi citizens who have put up with so much in the last few years.
