Can a Christian who is not Catholic go through an excorcism and it not be a sin? I have spirits attacking me and want them out and feel on the edge of possession again...for more explanation please see my previous questions...I have come to know what is going on in my spiritual walk and have taken the measures to fix it...The spirits left and as the bible says, they returned with 7 more stronger...they have returned as of two nights ago. When I physically sleep, I spiritually travel in astral projection involved in viewing satanic sacrifice with spirits. Please supply any information or insights. Thank you and God Bless.

Dear 7th--

A Christian can go through an exorcism and it is not a sin.

I would like to address the verse you quoted. Please note that there are two preceding verses that are part of the context of this verse wherein stated, "the evil spirit returned".

Let us ask why there was a return so in your spiritual experience you will have a better/good outcome?

Matt. 12
43When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

The person who is the subject of the above verses had the unclean spirit go out of him/her. When he returned, he found the human vessel of this one, "empty", "swept", and "garnished".

Dictionary Definitions:
1. empty: containing nothing
2. swept: to clean or clear, as of dirt, with or as if with a broom
3. garnished: to enhance in appearance by adding decorative touches; embellish

I have seen persons that have had the same experience as yours. I have seen them go through exorcism several times and have the evil spirit return. It became a cycle of suffering, failure, and preoccupation. Eventually, they came to realize the cycle could and would cease if they did the following:

1. Fill your being with "God" things.

2. Read and pray over the Word (The Word is the Sword of the Spirit.)

3. Fellowship with fellow-believers.

4. Sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord.

5. Walk in the light.

6. Confess your sins.

By taking this way,

1. Your being will no longer be empty. There is not a spot in which the enemy has ground to return.

2. Your vessel is swept, which signifies the confession, cleasning, and forsaking of sin.

3. Garnishing signifies you are no longer a person empty and shallow on the inside while having an appearance of loveliness on the outside.

God has given man/woman a will in which they can exercise choice and authority over themselves. There is not a person on earth that need feel he/she is a victim ready to succumb to an evil spirit. And finally;

Ephesians 6:
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

May you grow and mature in the Lord and have a heart of peace.

While I haven't experienced spirirts as strong as yours, I have been possessed myself. To get rid of my spirits, I learned to close my chakras. In brief, you have 7 major chakras:

Red - physical energy - base of the spine
Orange - sexual energy - sexual organs
Yellow - force - just below belly button
Green - love - heart
Blue - voice - voice box
Indigo - third eye - forhead
Violet - link to the universe - top of the head

Imagine that each of these areas are each a full flower in the color stated. Starting with the red, breathe in and imagine that the flower is closing in from full bloom to a tightly closed bulb. Move to orange and do the same thing, then again for each one all the way through violet.

Another thing to do is to set mental defenses. Imagine that you are surrounded by bright white light and fill that light with the thought that spirits are unwelcome. If the spirits come at night, when they do come, imagine bathing yourself in white divine light. It may also help to imagine the room where you are sleeping as having the same divine white light.

Another thing to try is to pray to whatever god or divine power you can call to to help you with this. I tend to call on "the Powers of Light and White and the Friends of Those Who Love".

Also, seek out a worker of energy. While it's sometimes hard to find someone who really is what they claim and not a total fraud, if you can find someone, they may be able to help you as well. The catholic church, while having exorcism experts, are few and very far between. However, it can't hurt to at least consult with the local priest and hear what he has to say.

Now, all that is for help if you truly are experiencing spirit possession. Keep in mind that if you go the exorcism route, the person who will do the exorcism will take their time to check out everything - they will investigate everything to see if there is a physical reason for the "spirits" - is it stress, drugs, psychosis, etc... So do some homework yourself and see a psychologist, talk to your doctor, and consult with anyone else who could possibly give insight.

Above all, DO NOT GIVE UP! Until you have defeated whatever it is you are dealing with, fight with all your strength, all your will, and all your cunning.

I wish you the best in this.

Other 'Protestant' churches occasionally do exorcism. Check out the Baptists and Pentecostals. The Church takes exorcism and possession very seriously, so your claim would have to be proved before anything else was done. You can go to a Catholic Church and ask for a blessing, or ask to have your living space blessed.

Don't listen to Jibba, though. Probably what got you in trouble in the first place?

Go to your local market and buy some SAGE. It's an herb and should be available fresh in the produce section. Let it dry for a day, then burn the sprigs, 1 for each room of your house. You'll need a bowl. Say a prayer asking for God's protection. Sage is great for warding off evil.

If you are truly saved those demonic spirits have no power over you. Take authority in Jesus name and send them away . Make their life miserable and quote the scripture outloud, especially in Matthew where Jesus cast the demons out. Go to www. Biblegateway.com and type in demonic spirits and get all the scripture on casting out demons. Also the bible says those kind only go out with prayer and fasting. Have you done that? God bless, and just know that there is no reason to put up with that kind.

you need to pray and ask God why you keep being attacked. what right do the demons have to attack you? Do you have any open doors-sins, unforgiveness hatred... christians can be attacked but there is a supernatural reason. ask God to show you from the heavenlys what the problem is be sure that you ask in the name of yeshua ha' mashia and are in a state of total worship before doing this.

Demand, in the name of Jesus, that these demons leave your presence. Let them know that God is the only one in control of your mind body and spirit.

Pray to God for help. Use his name: Jehovah. Get rid of all items in your house which may be an anchor for the demons.

If you are astral projecting, don't you have control of that? You are probably manifesting these things. They are trying to tell you something. Face them so you can overcome your fears and anger.
