It may be an onset of the measles. Try to observe if it will spread further to the back and trunk. It would be followed by fever, cough and colds. If not, it may be an allergy of some sort. Bring him to the doctor to be sure.

My sons got this when they were about a month old and it lasted a while, infact, they still have some around their neck.. It is normal, I was going to take them to the doctor but decided not to since they had no other symptoms or abnormal behavior. If they have any other sympoms that may be related to this rash such as fever, vomiting, not eating well.. then take him in..

Only on his arms and legs? Weird, but since he is so young I would take him to the doctor now. It could be as simple as soap or lotion you are using on him, or just a heat rash, but it could be food allergies or a number of other things. Better safe than sorry.

any rash in a child that young should go to the doctor. but my son had a rash when he got hot, it was irritation from his own sweat (said the doctor). keep your son cool, most people have a tendency to overwrap babies but once they are a few months old you can dress them as you would yourself, if you are a good judge of temp. not someone who is always cold or something.

yes you should get the doctor ASAP. i heard of a similar thing happen to someone's baby only the baby was infected by gangreene, the parents never took the baby to the doctor fearing they might have abused the baby in some way and the doctor would cal child services and take their baby away. so 2 weeks after infection baby died and parents were charged with recklass malice. yea u never know take the kid to the doc or it is possible you may be in their position next.

The doctor should look at it. Some rashes are allergies, others may be viruses.
