I don't know why atheist do anything. I don't mind answering questions about Christianity, but I feel it's very sad when people are asking really rude questions not looking for a real answer, but just trying to get a rise out of someone. Luckily Jesus has taught me to be kind to others and forgive everyone.

Religion and Spirituality is very broad wording for a category on a site like this. Atheism pertains to religion, as it's the absence thereof. Without religion, there would be no atheism.
Also, if there were an Atheism/Agnostic section, you'd probably find that the vast majority of atheists would post over there. But, like most minorities, we get screwed online, just like in real life.

I would ask you the same thing. Athiests don't believe in myths. I guess overall its to let the confused and brainwashed know that they do not need a crutch. Or to screw with them. Or to heckle the main protagonists who use these message boards to spread the veil of lies over the unknowing or undecided. If they had an Athiest/Agnostic section, you could bet that the sheep would flock there to spread the "truth" and try to convert the "unbelievers".

My, what an open mind you have... A little too much reality and fact upsetting the applecart of your beliefs? :)
We're here to discuss and debate, that's what forums are for. If you want to surround yourself with only those who believe exactly as you do and parrot the same things back and forth then there's a place for that... it's called church.

Christianity is a religion. Therefore, discussions on christianity - including "bible bashing" - belong in the religion & spirituality forum.

Once again, the R&S category is for the discussion of subjects pertaining to R&S not necesarilly for people who are religious or spiritual.
Athiests might ask why you are not in the myths forum.
I am neither an atheist nor a christian.
Peace

Good question. I think it's out of respect. It would be too offensive to ask a question about religions in the mythology forum.
Besides, it would be unpractical, because the aimed answerers are not going to be there, looking for that kind of questions.
And then, of course, people answer more questions than they ask. And you can't choose where a question is asked by somebody else. You have to answer it where it was asked.

well for one there are no people in the myths forum saying their religion is 100% correct and that everybody else who doesnt share their faith is going to some sort of hell. and secondly, we like to see your reaction, and thirdly, i only bash the stupid people who ask stupid questions
