Is'nt it incredible that people dont know the difference between border security/ national soverignty and the Berlin Wall!!
It was built in an effort to stop the drain of labor and economic output associated with the daily migration of huge numbers of professionals and skilled workers from East to West Berlin, and the attendant defections, which had political and economic consequences for the Communist bloc.

So dramatic. It is just a wall. The Berlin Wall was obviously (for most of us) built primarily to keep people inside its walls. Did you ever see that killing zone with razor ribbon and all kinds of nasty stuff to prevent escape (not entry)? Big difference dude.
We need to protect our borders and Mexicans need to apply for citizenship and legal entry just as millions of foreign born U.S. citizens have done before them.
Do it legally, and U.S. citizens will have no qualms with you, so stop whining and making silly comparisons that have no relevance.

"Blocking the sun with your thumb" That is what the wall is about. common, do you really think that will stop immigration? It's embedded in our ( yours too ) genes.
How many of you live and work in the city where you were born? If it was a one horse town with no opportunities, would you stay?
Think in a larger scale, people have always immigrated, we just happen to put borders and say, " OK, no more immigration" How do you think your ancestors got here?
Don't tell me the usual cliche " they got here legally" yeah right, ask the Native Americans if them Europeans were legals. Fortunately for them, back then, stealing the land and annihilating another culture was justified by " freedom of religion" was that it or they just didn't want to pay taxes in England anymore?
So the wall is up, people will still come here. Then what?

Escaping to Mexico lol! Like that is going to happen...
Yes it is a shame someone thinks by having a fence up it is going to keep peeps out of the USA.
It is something how peeps complain and have so many nasty things to say about the USA, but still we can not keep up with all the people who want to move here.....

Berlin wall? Now isn't that a little extreme?
2.
Don't you mean Mexicans coming to the U.S. illegally? Any American or Mexican can go across the border, provided it's legal.

Ok...I think you have this a#s backwards. Americans are not running across the border, risking being shot by militia or the border patrol to enter into Mexico. Your question linguistically doesn't make sense.

It depends on which side are you.
There are only two sides and 4 view-points.
1. You're a US citizen and want to go to Mexico
2. You're a Mexican citizen and want to go 2 US
3. You're a US citizen and wanna return home
4. You're a Mexican and wanna return home
