Sure, why not? You can be in love with the person you know online, just gotta remember that they may not be that same person in real life. But that's true all the time, someone you actually date may not be the same person they claim to be either, ya know?

Admiration, respect, loyalty, yes. Love, no. I've come scarily close, and occasionally you do feel an amazing connection with someone simply through words, but love is so much more than that.

yes, i have talked to a guy for 6 yrs and we talk online and on the phone.... and i honestly love him........ we talk about why we dont see each other and we are only a state away. but there is something exciting about it and we decided we wouldnt try to fix somethng that wasnt broken... and it works, we are the best of friends... we send pics and talk on cam etc... its what u make it...

It possible but I would advise caution. Alot of people are not what they seem. Don't meet anyone alone, and make it a public place with friends around.

I "lost" a family member to a 11/2 year long internet romance . He sold out here and went to Germany to live with her. All is well--so far. We talk often via voip/pc>

i think it is possible to have a connection of sorts that might be perceived as love, but love comes from sharing in person experiences with someone.

I don't think so. Because you don't get a real picture of the person, you only get what they want you to see.
