dont forget James, Jesus' (half) brother. There is some dispute of which James it was, but the strongest evidence points to his sibling

And Paul? His eyewittness account of the Risen Jesus changed him from a persecutor of Christians the the author of a large portion of the New Testament.
God Bless!

Just because these 4 men wrote about Jesus is no proof at all. Why is this proof?
You way you have more information on Jesus than on a Roman Emperor. You just have these 4 men, repeated over and over. I would bet if you looked, you'd find much more contemporary writing about Julius Caesar and Alexander the Great.....more varieties.

I should have checked your question before I answered another.
When I first saw this, I thought it was going to be another Christian bashing question. I was totally surprised.
Congratulations on doing your homework of the gospels. It makes an old time preacher feel good to know that there are still level headed people out there who can see the inspiration of the Bible and the unity of the gospels.
If I were allowed to give points for the best question I have read tonight, you'd get the points.

...assuming that those people can be trusted as proof. They were just humans and I'm sure they believed what they wrote, but that does not make it true. A lot of things were written about the lives of other religious figures too, but you don't believe in Buddhism, Islam, etc., do you?

None of the gospels were written during Jesus lifetime. They were written 390 to 60 years after his death.

You are troughly right! Christ´s existance is fully proved into history. Thanks for remining us!
They did it because they had an unsatiable need to tell to others about the experience they lived when they met Christ by themselves or (as Luke) heard about him and discovered the true meaning of their lives.

That's your proof? That people wrote stuff down? Gosh, scary to think what you might believe if more people had been literate during that time period. =)
