it's to prevent them from being seen as sex objects and let them stand out and be identified by those who need them, it's their uniform, and it's designed in accordance with the way christian women dressed back in the old days--nuns used to have to shave their heads too, to set themselves apart from other women, that is why the habit covers the entire head

I believe that the essence of all 3 religions Judaism, Islam and Christianity is from God. Thing might have slightly changed over time but the essence is reflected in those who dedicate themselves for God, like nuns.
I believe women shouldn't be looked at or treated as a sex object.
Muslim women are obeying God just like nuns do.

The nun's habit (clothing) is based on normal clothing for a married woman during the middle ages. Like married women, because they are not available for marriage anymore; they are vowed to God. Unmarried women in Europe in the middle ages were allowed to show hair.
Their habit is their uniform. It shows not only that they are nuns, celibate and vowed to God; it also shows which religious Order they belong to, since each Order has its own style of habit.
Nuns are usually shown extra respect, but a lot is expected of them, since they are representatives of God.

Little Johnny was standing at a street corner and began to cross the street as he saw a nun trying to cross on the opposite direction... He ran over and began to help her across the street. When they got to the other side, the nun thanked him very much. Little Johnny replied "No problem ma'am... any friend of Batman is a friend of mine!!"
LOL I love that one... gets me every time

b\c in even christanity, covering ur body n head was also included but later as it was hard to do so,priests took out this content from Bible.
do ppl think religion is only need to be followed by nun's n priests, n rest should lead their life as they want, believing Jesus(pbuh) is our saviour,he will save us.don't want to offend anyone, but it's out of my understanding.
i DONOT agree with a lady's point that nun's r reserved for God.we all r,we all r God's creation,so all need to serve him.but my religion preached me to lead my life according to laws prescribed by God.n move along my religion n my worldly matters simultaneously..

an attempt to focus on the spiritual and not the senses but it is a flawed point of view as now they are dropping the habits no double entendre intended and though I see the point of the new
spiritual view of this I still don't taint my spiritually with lies of
a god that obviously was only justified for barbarian mentalities
as a necessary evil and for expediting ideas in those more ignorant times.
