When I enter my start screen, I have a program that states it's running in safe mode. Now, I didn't request that it do that as I want to remove it from my progams. When I try to after going to my control panel, it won't let me remove it. I'm confused as to what's going on here. It's a program that I don't want, just recently downloaded it, don't understand how to use it and want it out of my computer. So what can I do to get it out of this safe mode and out of my computer entirely?

Safe Mode is a windows program that is protecting your computer from whatever incompatible program you recently downloaded. Boot up in safe mode ....then go to Start Menu ....choose accessories and then choose system tools and then finally system restore. The computer should have logged a restore point just prior to your download of the program you no longer want. Use system restore to restore your computer settings. Then when you are restored...go to search ....choose all files and folders and type in the name of the software you added but don't want....you should get all the files to come up and then delete all the ones that belong to that program. Finally ....if you have a program for cleaning your registry ...use it...that will remove all registry associations linked to that deleted software.

Good Luck !

Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode used by certain computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and other complex electronic devices. While the operating system is in safe mode, it will have reduced functionality, but it is easier to isolate problems because many non-core components are disabled. An installation that will only boot into its safe mode typically has a major problem, such as disk corruption or the installation of poorly configured software that prevents the operating system from successfully booting into its normal operating mode.
HOW TO STOP IT- (at least on Windows XP) Go to Start- then Run... Type in msconfig in the space and press okay. Click the Boot.INI tab and uncheck /SAFEBOOT then click okay. It should restart your computer. Good luck!!

If its a program just go to Start - Control Panel- Add or Remove Programs and find the program and delete it.

the best thing to do is to restore to a previous time where you didn't have this program installed on your computer. by doing this you will lose any thing that you have done up to that point. but your pc will work.
but if you click on start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.
from there it should be well explained
