and i cant think of some cute designs for it... what should i do?

Cut patterned paper to fit as a cover, and add embellishments like ribbon, flowers. . .

I bought a big letter for my daughter, too. They are cool! I just painted hers solid black, no designs whatsoever. It just depends on your decorating style. Most are too skinny to really do anything elaborate, design wise. I think I prefer them painted just a solid color.
