How does Spanish sound to Portuguese speakers?

well i speak Spanish, and Portuguese sounds long and drawn out to me. But my friend speaks some Portuguese and says just the opposite about Spanish. She can also make out a lot of what I'm saying when i speak Spanish; more than I can when she speaks Portuguese.

Spanish sounds very choppy and short to Portuguese speakers.
