Percentage-wise, atheists are probably the most educated, agnostics not far behind the atheists, and religious people/theists by far the least. I don't say this to offend religious people, but it's true that the more education one aquires, the more likely one is to not believe in god.

I think that if only people of IQ 100 and above are counted there is an equality of average intelligence between all three groups.
It may be atheists and agnostics have a higher IQ on average than theists but not for the reason many would think. I believe those of very limited intellect would tend to believe what they are told, much like small children so the percentage of atheist or agnostics (both of which require the ability to question) with mental retardation would be very low.
If mentally challenged people were removed from the equation I think that there would be an equal distribution of intelligence in atheists, agnostics, and the religious.

I am studying a master and I embraced islam just 2 years ago. I am not supersticious just believe in one God and I love science...u also can see more testimonies if u want try a search on youtube with words as muslims, reverts, converts, etc...and u will see.

they tell me atheist are but it has to a percentage of sorts and these kinds of statistics are subject to much examination and
debate as a rule intepretation and the basis of the original
groupings and tenets can slant the findings however I don't mind
as I'm an atheist and and above average IQ...

There have been studies that have shown that people with higher IQs tend to give less importance to their religious beliefs. That is all i know of currently... i know there were several similar studies done, one may have focused on education level.

Atheists and agnostics are better educated than theists. There have been studies done on this.
