Man this assumption makes me so upset.

True my parents introduced me to Christ, but as I got older I asked questions and searched on my own and I came back to what I know. Christ is my Savior. I have seen him at work in my life in good and in bad times.

If you have not had a relationship with God, Christ or theHoly Spirit you will NEVER understand the AWESOME powers of the Trinity. We can think for ourselves. Don't be angry at us because you have something missing in your life. Let us instead pray for you.

Well put...what they who don't believe do not understand, is that we were once in their shoes so we understand them better than they think, but they can't even begin to understand what it's like to know the King of Glory! It truly IS the thinking man's "religion", for lack of a better term.

Unfortunately, these same people who make these assumptions like ur first answerer made the a decision in the past to serve God and then they dropped God because he was not the type to hand everything to them on a silver platter without questioning their motives. These people are quick to judge because some of them were former weak believers. Please don't be upset with Satan's tactics because that's what he wants and what they want. They can assume all they want. You know what they say about people who make assumptions. We must continue to Pray for them and this World. ~Don't feed the Demonic Trolls~

Shalom

Because, rather than making up their own minds about morals, the origin of the universe, the purpose of life, etc., Christians defer to the dogma of their religion. There are, of course, exceptions, but the average Christian just doesn't want to give it that much thought. It requires a great deal of introspection and soul-searching to figure out what you really believe about life if you don't have a ready-made, brand-name religion to tell you what's right, wrong, true, and false.

Well, it sounds like you answered your own question but really, my reason is that I've met so very very many of them.

People who tell me the bible say this or that or it's God's will and when I quote back the accuate passage or ask them to back up their statements they only get angry or dumbfounded.

I especially find it aggrivating when someone tried to judge something or someone based on an interpretation of the bible or what they've heard in church or others.

I don't assume that christians can't think for themselves I just wish there were more that did.

coz u cant.
it is a proven fact that the MAJORITY Christians have a lower than average IQ.
not to mention the fact that SOME of you seem to think you can answer questions by cutting and pasting bible quotes.

i had a 'relationship' with God. I was forced to be a good little Catholic girl for many years. even priests tried to have a 'relationship' with me when i was a young girl. so put that in your pipe and smoke it sistah!
