It sounds like a message to the people who believe everyone is just one of the many, like an ant in a colony; that we are not individuals, but a group, and we strive for the group, not the individual.
The author's saying that everyone can be an individual, despite the ant colony mentality--but it doesn't matter unless the individual's spirit is summoned up to the surface.
Everyone will simply be one of the colony until their spirit breaks free; until they sing their own song and play to their own tune.

I would have to know more about the speaker to know exactly what SHE meant, but to me, it says that everyone has the potential to shine and be beautiful in some way. For some people, this happens when they fall in love with the right person. For others, when they are appreciated and encouraged by a parent or teacher. For some, it never happens, but we are all born brand-new and full of beautiful promise.

The quote encourages people to not ignore others who they might normally disregard. Go out of your way to say hello and maybe talk to the street person, the elderly, the goofy shy kid that dresses funny. You might be enlightend in a way that expands your self.

I feel this means that all people have certain inner feelings that are in the unconcious minds. this is something that is hidden away, its the feelings that one has. and the song represents the inner rhythms and beats that one has due to their feelings. lots of people hide their strong feelings towards one person or one thing.

It's almost what CurlySue said except I think it means that certain people can bring out that certain something in someone. You know when you meet someone and they bring out the best in you.

it means everyone has gifts they possess but its the ones that can share them and let themselves express their gifts that are happy!! That we all are capable of it.
