Hi

There is no Montessori franchise in New Zealand. Schools are independent businesses, often privately owned or run by community or parent groups. There is a Montessori Association here (MANZ) and they may be the best first point of contact for your wife. Their website is given below. On the website you will find the address and contact details of all the Montessori schools in New Zealand which are members of their association (including those in Christchurch (Canterbury). Please remember though that any school in NZ can call itself Montessori (because the name is not protected) and so there may well be a number of other schools in Christchurch that are not associated to MANZ. You could look at the NZ yellow pages website and search for schools in Christchurch.

The other aspect you must consider is that before being able to come here and run a school your wife must first prove she is qualified to teach and gain NZ immigration approval to reside and work here.

Can you, in more depth, explain why you need to purchase a Montessori School in New Zealand. Is this the stipulation of some rich uncle's will, or are you hoping to just have a high level academic school for your own children? There are other schools that overwhelmingly surpass Montessori schools if that is what you are looking for. Post another question that has reasoning to it and it will help anyone to give you a better answer.
