If you don't want to follow one, perhaps you shouldn't. Research and read about different faiths, perhaps visit a church, synagogue, mosque, temple and talk to some clergy and find out for yourself what fits your beliefs best. Remember, you may not find a religion that perfectly suits everything that you believe, but the point is to find one that most closely matches your beliefs and gives you a sense of community and peace.

There Religions that hold woman on the same plain as men, and even more important, the powers for men and woman over lap in many ways. Obvious physical differences make for different experiences which provides both problems and benefits and different outcomes are also very significant.
As a man, I for one highly respect the courage woman show even though they are smaller than men and also the more attractive than men and draw lots more attention, both good and bad.
Grandfather and Grandmother are deities in the Native American Spiritualality, for example. Also, I have heard the Deity called Grandmother/Grandfather or the other way around. The powers of the woman are experienced as different and in some ways Superior powers, including Mother Nature, in all her glory.
You say that you do not believe in deities, OK, but that does not mean that deities do not exist. For you it may be unimportant, but for other it is vital, even though it may actually be considered significantly different than your idea of a Deity.
Grandfather/Grandmother for example implies that both qualities exist but that the two are different manifestations with mutually exclusive way sometimes, but they travel together.
You can see it as two deities that blend together into say an Angel. From a distance, an Angel is one being, but as the Angel approached you see that they are actually two beings.
Most notions of God in the world before monotheism had male and female components. But Christianity, Jewish, Islamic, are one god views of religion or monotheistic.
Modern and ancient religious beliefs have had at times all the character that you say you believe, so their is forms of religion out there in the world that you could fit into very nicely, if not just plain old liberal Christainty that you have a right to believe if you wish. You will find many that have no problems with your notions of religion. Welcome.
We call ourselves, The People, in an ageless manner, and in the words of Maya Angelo, "Your passage is paid".

Who says you have to be part of a religion. I also believe in a God not male or female, however I choose to look at all religions and understand all their aspects of life. To confine one's self to one religion, would be like shutting off the rest of the world. One needs to always keep an open mind and keep learning about everything. If all religious people were able to realize no religion is perfect, and that their religion isn't the best, then people would gain a better understanding of eachother. And in understanding comes acceptance. If all people were able to accept eachother, war would not even be a word.
So, being a free spirit, stay a free spirit and learn from all religions freely without any restrictions. There is no limit to your understanding.

A licentious spirit believes that it can come and go at will.
A truly free spirit knows where it is literally not capable of treading.
One is free when one knows that one is not God, and that God is God.
One is freer--though not automatically free--when one does not project one's own personal preferences onto the creator of all things good. I.e., if you don't believe God is a he because you are a feminist, what you are saying is that your politics are more important to you than God, so much so that you let your politics define God. If God happened to be a he, and you remained a feminist, would you then deny him?
I think that your religion is self-worship. Some people call this secular humanism.

I also believe in One Universal God...gender did not exist until God invented it, therefore, God is neither male nor female.
I don't know if I'd call myself "extreme", but I am a feminist..I have four daughters and and six grand daughters....
I can not respect "all" religions, since some of them seem to espouse violence...but I do have respect for people who are seeking peace with God and with others...
I am a Christian, because the Son has set me free, but I do not belong to any denomination, because, as you say, I refuse to be bound by their interpretations of the God I love....
It has been my experience that ONLY Jesus can set you free.....
Good luck in your search
and may God bless you

I really admire your belief in one universal God, not female or male. Your ideal in respecting women and your wish to break all boundaries are really good.
I just have a simple suggestion that you don't need to quit your freedom in consulting with people of the same ideal and in attaining a broader concept about religion, because, despite of any strong will, no individuals can have complete freedom and complete attainment. Would you please read some Baha'i Books at the Gutenberg Project (for example, "The Book of Certitude" of Baha'u'llah and others).
My suggestion is based on my feeling of being free and desiring to have relation to other people with no restriction and no fettering formality.

Check out science of mind. They believe there is a common thread of truth that winds through all religions. Their teachings are above all positive, open, and inclusive. I think as long as people are following a God they see as a being that is infinitely powerful, yet somehow has emotions like jealousy and rage that mirror our own worst natures, there will continue to be needless conflict. Jesus said, "you will know who follows me by their love." Seek peace, seek love, and seek truth and you'll find what you're looking for.
