what can you do to help canker sores on your throat?

My husband is getting bad canker sores and the dr. doesnt know what is causing them...is there anyone with any ideas that can help on what to do to ease the pain?

Gargle with salt water--table salt in tap water. Will help cure them. Most likely they are being caused by a ph imbalance in his mouth or throat. Could be a diet change, or maybe he needs to cut back on acidic foods.

tell him to stop eating/drinking acidic foods till they have cleared up. Have him gargle with salt water or eat potato chips before bedtime
