I go both ways; Christians who answer a question in such a way that shows thought deserve more than 10 points, so I also give them a thumbs up. The same applies to Atheists.
And by the way, you chose a poor example. Anyone who takes FSM questions seriously needs either a course in comparative religions or a night at the improv.

I think your question is relevant not only to atheists, but to just about everyone who's ever asked a question on here. Are the people with high best answer percentages extremely intelligent or are they telling people what they want to hear? Or as you put it, are they going for the sycophantic high-five? At best it's a little of both, but a more cynical person would say that we all like to see our own beliefs and opinions reflected in the responses of others. Do you go to church with a bunch of atheists, or is just a bunch of sycophantic high-fives? lol

Depends on the question and the answers received. If people are asking a legitimate question, sure they may pick a decent honest answer. Other times people just post stuff to get people to think and they pick whatever answered caught their eye the most.
And why blame us for this? I've seen many a Christian ask or talk about atheists and then for the answer they choose, they don't even let us speak for ourselves, they pick some religious person who said what they wanted to hear. It does go both ways.

We are open minded. I don't believe all peoples in here a cataloged as Christian or none Christian. Remember the best answer is a personal opinion.

I did the last two times I asked Christians something. (my very last question was to everyone but the two before I picked Christians as JIMBO is a christian) I'm rarely picked as best answer by Christians though. I know you hate me, and that's OK, I forgive you. (since there is no god to forgive you)

More often than Christians ask questions to unbelievers, and pick an unbeliever as their best answer. Here are some examples:

I'm a Christian, and I've had my answers picked as best many times by atheists.
Any idiot who takes the FSM seriously pretty much deserves the ridicule he is obviously asking for.
It will be interesting to see whick answer YOU choose as "best", ROFLMCLBO!!

Since your asking Christians, I hope Christians are answering with the best answer. Other wise WHATS THE POINT OF ASKING CHRISTIANS?

I have chosen some Christians point of view for the best answer I few times..if you don't believe me you can check it out yourself..
But of course I am but I fool, not as much as the Christians though...so that's probably why I choice their answers as the best...

Why would an atheist ask a question of a christian? Laughs? It is frankly not even that amusing, it is too easy and the answers are too predictable.
