The common language of this country is English, some people don't like it, and that's fine. I will not be forcing my child(or any future childre) to learn Spanish. She can be multilingual after having learned any of the worlds languages. And studies by far show that knowing Chinese, Japanese, or Arabic will prove most profitable. It's great to be mulitlingual and I certainly encourage it, but forcing people to learn the language of those who have chosen to live here of their own free will is laying down for an INVASION.

Spanish is the opposite language. Or you'll check out studying 2 languages immediately for a couple of days and notice if you'll manage it.If you spot its an excessive amount of than expectantly you'll drop the further magnificence earlier than the drop time limit and get an entire refund for the moment magnificence. If thats an choice.

Not sure why you wouldn't want to learn a second language, be Spanish, French or whatever it may be. Knowing multiple languages increases knowledge and so forth. In addition, it allows you to communicate effectively and efficiently with others when ever visiting another country. In all, it's always best to know more than one language.

I would strongly suggest that everyone learns a second language, and Spanish is a logical choice for most Americans. Learning a second language changes the way you think and opens the mind to new possibilities.

No one should be forced to do anything. Everyone should have the freedom to speak or learn what ever language he or she wants to.

Studies have proven that kids who are bi-lingual are more intelligent. Heaven forbid kids should learn in high school. I mean, let's let them stop with basic mathematics, too.
I think it's very close-minded of you to say something like that. Since we share the continent with Mexico, we have a lot of Hispanic's in America- that's why we're referred to as a "salad bowl." Obviously, you're the lettuce: Still pretty green and not much substance.

Let's face it, this world is becoming more intermingled. We either take steps to try to communicate with each other in order to understand cultural differences or we end up isolating ourselves & causing major diplomatic problems. How do we want our kids to grow up? Do we want them to grow up hating what is new to us or do we want them to grow up wanting to learn about other cultures/languages? It would seem to me, teaching our children a second language would only be advantageous for a happy, healthy future with less threat of war because there is greater acceptance for what is different. Amen.

I think it's really nice that everyone should have to learn another language; likewise, if Spanish or other nationalities come here, it should be required of them to learn English.
