Bathe or shower daily. And use a feminine product designed for that specific purpose. There's one called Tucks (it's a pre-moistened cloth). Baby wipes work well, too, and they are much cheaper. And they smell wonderful! My husband loves it.

The smell often comes from a class of organic compounds known as alkenes which are released in the decomposition process. The first suspicion would be a pathogen doing the same thing on a small scale. Yeast infection for example. This should be brought to the attention of a doctor. It is easily treated and it's good to get it early. A limited number of species thrive there so diagnosis and treatment should be quick.

A woman shouldn't smell fishy. If there is a fishy odor that is a sign of infection. Yeast infections will emit that fishy odor.
try some monistat. If that doesn't clear it then a trip to the gynocologist is in your future. Don't ignore it, some infections could lead to infertility.

An odor can indicate an infection, possibly vaginosis. You should see your doctor before doing anything.
