your kitten sounds like it has an upper respiratory infection and needs to go to the vet. Has your cat been vaccinated...if not is could be something worse! Not much you can do in the mean time, she needs to be put on antibiotics.

Your kitten sounds like it has feline rhinovirus. This cat really needs to see a vet. There are some mild cases that will go away in two to three weeks, but some cats get very sick with it.
I foster kittens for the local SPCA and i got a litter of two week olds last spring. I have ten cats of my own ranging in age from three to twenty-one. I found out I had a problem when all my cats started sneezing. The kittens were fine. It seems the virus was carried into my house with the kittens who were immune to it. Yes, this did happen. Some cats can carry a virus and not get sick from it.
There is no real treatment for a virus, other than to let it run its course. The problem is that while it is running its course, it can cause infection in the sinuses or throat, etc. That is where antibiotics come in.
The main thing you need to watch for is that the kitten continues to eat and drink. If your cat starts refusing food and water, then you will have to find a way to get it vet care, or I'm afraid it could die. Cats, especially kittens, can dehydrate and die overnight.
In the end, only one of my cats, a four year old, got sick enough to need antibiotics. The rest just got over it on their own. I hope this helps. While seeing a vet would be the best bet, you might be able to squeek through with good supportive care of this kitten. There are some agencies who will help people who have sick animals and have hit a hard financial time. Do you have any rescue agencies in your area? It wouldn't hurt to ask for some help. Just remember, if that kitten stops being interested in food, it needs to see a vet immediately, even if you have to eat peanut butter sandwiches for a week.

Let me tell ya something - Sorry to say-But-If u can't afford a vet bill to help this poor kittens suffering-then you just shouldn't own her...Seriously-why is it always the animal thats the last to suffer????
Cats get Upper Respitory Infections that progress quickly-'Specially kittens to the point where they bascially sufficate-It need antibiotics now & u only get that from a vet. And, I would get there real soon-it she really sounds that congested- she may not have much time...poor thing....
I'm sure the vet will let u pay off the bill-dont let that be the reason this kitty passes.

in simple terms like people there are a number of ailments a kitten can seize. because of this actuality the only advice i provides you is to take it to the vet immediately. Kittens are very suseptable to ailment and their immune gadget isn't as reliable as an grownup cats making any an infection of their sinuses and lungs very risky. notwithstanding if it quite is a financial subject that keeps you from taking her in call around and see is a vet will take a positioned up dated verify or money, there are nevertheless quite some vets that try this. I even have achieved animal rescue for over 10 years from community and not so community kilos and animal shelters. I even have worked with many vets - the longer you wait the greater serious it may get to your kitten, quite if she is having a complicated time respiration. do no longer supply your kitten any organic remedies, they don't have the comparable reactions to drugs as people and it may desire to consequence in dying.

think of it like this.. the $60-$70 u would spend at the vet... its better than spending $600 becuase you let the kitty's cold get worse. They gave my cat ammoxicilan (spelling is wrong, I know) it was actually covered by the humane society. Dont know how long you had the kitty but its prob not to serious, as long as you get the right meds.

Get your kitty to the vet.
My newest kitten was acting punky, sneezing and wheezing...it turned out that he has a viral infection that needs antibiotics.
A stop gap solution may be to make sure that you have a humidifier running to aid her breathing.
I hope your kitten gets better soon!
Good luck

Keep her warm and make sure she has plenty of good for her food and cuddles (don't worry, you can't catch her cold). Just like people, animals can become sick and even have allergies. I would only begin to worry if after a few days of careful care and attention her symptoms do not improve. You may also consider checking her environment for irritants, including cleaning solutions. Good luck and I hope the little dear feels better!

Get a benadryl pill and cut it into 4th's. Give her 1/4 of the pill. that should help her. Are you sure its a cold? has she had her shots? Untill you know for sure don't let her around any other pets. make sure you check her ears to make sure they are clean.
