my sister has a learning disability called add( attention deficit disorder) she does ok in school( sophmore imn high school) sher has a hard time focusing and is bad at math, but the real problems are in her attitude. her self asteem is at a all-time low. she is beautiful in my opinion, but she thinks she is ugly. probably because she has a best friend who is a slut and an attention-hogger. but anyways, she is sooooooooo shy. she has never been kissed in her entire life, never been on a date or anything. she had one guy like her, he really liked her, but she pushed him away with her shyness. i know she really wants a boyfriend, but she doesnt think she is good enough. I feel so bad about this, bacause I just can picture how she feels inside thinking that she is ugly and stupid. she sometimes has mood swings, mostly on me(her younger sister). she always compares herself to her best friend, and sometimes even me. I just feel so helpless. I want her to have a happy life in high school

First of all, it is no problem that your sister hasn't been kissed or doesn't have a boyfriend. She is a sophomore in high school, she has plenty of time to date. I'm in college and I know several people, men and women, who have never been kissed or have gone on a date. Second, what you can do for your sister. There isn't anything you can do to change your sister, you must remember that. You should just accept her for who she is and help her with her self-esteem by watching your language while you are around her. Make sure you don't put her down in any way and try your hardest to make her laugh. Laugh releases hormones that decrease stress and make anyone feel better right away. If your sister's problem is deeper and you feel like you need to do more, consider talking to your mom about having family counseling to cope with your sister's disability.

Listen when she wants to talk. Be there for her, but don't insist or push her into anything she is uncomfortable with. She may seem lonely now, but if she is pushed into something she is not really mature enough to handle, she will be even more withdrawn. Let her go at her own speed, and be her very best friend by letting her. God bless ya ! I wish you were my sister.

try and find some activities that she is good at, and activities that she is better than you... that way, she'll end up really happy about herself, because at least she's great at something... don't overdo it cause she might think you're just doing this to cheer her up.. also, if her self-esteem really improves, don't overdo it as well, or else she'd probably have overly self confidence, and this might even lessen the great relationship between you two...
wow, you must be a great sister to have! =)

Continue to support her and make her feel beautiful and if the guy she is dating can't tell her that tell her or help her find someone who will like or love her for who she is an remember always let her know that you are her sister and you love her no matter what. support her, show her love, and help her build her self-esteem that the most important

Push her, thats about all you can do. If she keeps pushing people out of her life, then she is just going to hurt herself. I know someone who is really shy, if she has the backing of all her frineds, and I would get her best friend in on it too, then she might start to open up a little.

Take her for a spa day and make sure she leaves all made up and pretty. She'll realize how pretty she is when she's primped by a professional.

Pills are the typical answer... but I think modern living creates ADD. Maybe I'm wrong...
