I am writing a short story for a political science class. I would like it to be along the lines of a society under a legal system similar to the Sharia in these two countries. Can anyone point me to books other than the Holy Qur'an and the Hadith? I was looking for something more along the lines of Islamic Revolutionary treatises. All help would be appreciated.

The project dictates that we summarize the sources of the theory that we used. I was looking at S.A. because of the Wahabbist influence on Sharia, and IRan for the influence the Islamic Revolution of the 1970s had on Sharia there. This is why I need more than the Holy Qur'an and the Hadith.

If you have some kind of Islamic Library or Mosque close to where you live, you'll find great help over there

Sorry for not being able to help you directly

I don't believe you'd need more than that, would you? Perhaps you could look at their constitutions or any other legal document that has come out of those countries, or perhaps look at the CIA world factbook to get an idea of the exact economic, social, and political status in those countries. I don't know how specific or detailed you'd like those treaties to be, but perhaps that would be a good start.

It sounds like a fascinating project, and I wish you the best of luck.

Salam!

Whoa, that's over my head. :) The Quran instructs Islamic Law.
but try online enclopedias, most of them are always netural and to the point without an objective.
