When you find out your pregnant, or think you might be, call the doctor!!!
Tell them you need a Exam, because you might be pregnant!
However, they wait until you are atleast 6 weeks even 8 weeks late on a period, i guess cause the womans body is so tricky... but in mean time take a good prenatal vitamin! GOOD LUCK!
* by the way the 13 at home test i took were ALL negative, went to doc and did blood, test BIG Ol' POSITVE!!! 9 the HCG level in my body wasnt strong enough for the at home test)
When I though i was pregnant, i took a test, okay i took 13 of them, all difer brands, chep to most expesive, anyways... when i got the appointment whick took 2 weeks to get.... i was check and told i was 3 months pregnant already, talk about surprised!!!!Lol! I was fine and so was baby, he did come at 34 weeks though! (he'll be 3 on NEw Years)

The first few days and weeks are the most crucial time in babies life, that's when most of the internal organs are taking shape. If you drink or are malnourished or have folic acid deficiency, you could have major deformities in you baby. e.g. spinabifida. This could be easily prevented and I believe that you should see your doctor before you are pregnant and make sure you are not drinking when you are trying to become pregnant as usually people don't know that they are pregnant for a few weeks after the baby is taking shape.

As soon as you find out you are pregnant call & make apt. Good Prenantal care as soon as possible is very important!

they want you in there as soon as possible that way they will catch any problems right away. The first visit will give them a base to go by .

How far in pregnancy are you ? ... 1st check up is around 6 to 8 weeks.

You go as soon as you think you are pregnant, then on a regular schedule your dr. will set up for you.

I got my first checkup at 2 months. Generally when you figure out you are preggie, make an appointment.
