I firmly believe that animals are in tune with our feelings. Hold your dog like you have never held him before. Love him like you have never loved him before. Talk to him and let him know how you feel about him. He will still miss his companions but will be happy he still has his loving mom.

Grieveing for a lost pet is a part of life. I have just lost a beloved dog of my own 2 weeks ago and he was 2 days short of his 3rd birthday when he went into kidney failure and I held him in my arms as the vet administered the shot that sent him to (I hope) heaven. Let your emotions out. Do not hold them in. It does more damage than you know. I sincerely hope you find and are reunited with your lost pet. Give yourself time to heal. Try to remember all the good times. I wish you the best and am so very sorry for your losses.

Aww, Marian, I am so sorry about your good & loyal friend's passing. I hope the fliers will direct you to your missing pooch real soon. Take one day at at time. Remember you gave your dogs a good, loving home & you will continue to provide a good, loving home for the pets you still have. All the good you give away will come back to you someday. My thoughts are with you during your sad time. Peace

Try to do more fun activities with the pets you have. Play with the dog and cat, groom them, and just being busy with them will help all of you.
I just had to put an old dog down. For us, it was like the other three dogs expected it. The cat could care less. I do more with these dogs and keep myself busy.
Sorry for your loss.

I went through this last year 2 of my dogs died 4 months apart. To a lot of people it's like losing a human family member. You just have to go through what ever grieving process you go through and as far as your big dog missing the other ones he or she will have to go through what ever process it goes through.

Your dog will adjust, just like you will, but probably faster. Only time can heal,.. sorry for your losses.
