Speaking as a gay Christian in a committed relationship, in a supportive faith community...even so, I don't think I'll see it in my lifetime. After all, there are still retrograde attitudes out there regarding persons of color and women, and certain states that always seem to be decades behind the curve when it comes to issues of civil rights. My own state is appallingly primitive when it comes to issues of inclusion and tolerance -- our state legislature is in the grip of fundamentalists who have not only passed anti-gay-marriage legislation here but who are attempting to take punitive action against public institutions and other entities that offer benefits to same-sex partners of employees. Aggravatingly, we're right next door to Ontario, which has a completely different mindset.

Unfortunately, I'd give it at least a generation, maybe two.
Remember when they had all those weddings in San Francisco? A couple of 80-year-old women who'd been together over 50 years were the first. My wife and I hope we won't have to wait so long, especially since these women who've been together longer than many of their opponents were even born got their marriage taken away, too.
And Steve, thousands of couples in America care!!!!

I doubt it will occur before 2025. But then again, when I came out in 1975, I wouldn't have thought it would have been available anywhere before my life ended. Things can change fast, and I hope they do.

I'd say never, if it is a state's law issue, because Utah will never pass a law to allow gay marriage.

when the American people fall to rock bottom and allow it to happen. homosexuality is condemned in the bible there is no such thing as a "gay" christian unless you mean happy.
Pro 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

When the majority of people in all fifty states support it. I don't see that happening for quite a while -- if ever. It's one topic people have really strong opinions about.
