Animals don't need to go anywhere when they die.

They are fully aware that they have never left heaven.

We are the ones who are confused and think that we are separate from God.

The symptoms of life is the consciousness and everything that has consciousness has soul.
Thus, if we Analise a dead body from an alive one, we see that the dead don't have consciousness, the soul was gone.
Therefore, all creatures, being animals or plants or humans has soul.
The animals and vegetables are only paying for they karma in that body, not creating any other. As soon as they die, they will get another animal, vegetable body or a human body.
The humans are not only paying for but also creating more karma and thus, accordinly, if ones when dies will have a return ticket to Hell or Paradise, get a vegetable or animal form later and eventualy a human form again . With this human form it is possible to stop the cicle of birth and death and transmigrassion on diferents of body, if the person knows how to worship the Lord.

Interesting question. I'm Muslim as well, and Artist has a good starting point, but I think I can add a little bit. Mankind is the only spiritual being with freewill, and thus the reward of obeying or the punishment of disobeying God. All other living life, even the trees, like the angels, have no freewill, and it is in their inherent nature to be constantly worshipping and obeying God. Yes, to God they will return, but because they cannot do anything except worship God, they are simply returned to the Earth. Animals, simply by being, are obeying God's will. Thus, they are simply an extension of His creation.

Make sense? I don't believe I explained it very well, but it is a complex idea to grab.

Im not any religion but I believe that if there is a life after death then animals go to the same place as humans.
This is because we are animals as well so there is no reason for us to go to some other place.
Religion is all man made.

As a Hindu, I have read some holy books of Hindu. According to them, we passes through 84 lakhs( 84 hundread million) different lives among them, human life is one. In Hindu religion, we worship different animals like eliphents( as a Ganesh), cow ( as Laxmi Mata/mother). Thus, I think these animals definately go in heaven from this evidence. For me, the tussel of hell and hevean is just not more than part of human civilization and the curiosity towards the mystery.

The Doctrine and Covenants of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints records in Chapter 77: verses 2 and 3, a question and answer sequence in which it explains the figurative expressions used by John the Revelator regarding the four beasts he saw in which it refers to "...heaven, the paradise of God, the happiness of man, and of beasts, and of creeping things, and of the fowls of the air..." And in the next verse , ... "to represent the glory of the classes of beings in their destined order or sphere of creation, in the enjoyment of their eternal felicity."
Another scripture which comes to my mind is from the Bible in which during the millenial reign the lion shall lie down with the lamb and the weaned child shall play with the asp and place his hand on the cockatrice den without being hurt. This would certainly suggest that animals will be here upon the earth when it becomes a terrestrial environment and when it shall be renewed and receive it's paradisiacal glory.

Animals have spirits and they will be resurrected.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have been happily a member for thirty years. Thank you. God bless you.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Animals is God creation like us humans. We need to treat them well.there was a man inter the heaven because of thirsty dog. He drank water from the wall then he saw thirsty dog so he took his hat and fill it with water, so the dog came and drank. On the other hand there was a woman inter the hell because of cat . she put her in prison and never fed her or allowed her to find food by herself. animals also fight each other so God want to judge between them equally. Animals worship God and pray for him but we cant understand their language. At the end the animals turn to dust after God saying to them to be dust. I am Muslims and I also believe there are animals in the paradise, but different than the animals in this life . And God know best.

well using the bible, animals never had the prospect of living forever as humans did before adam sinned. when adam sinned, he inherited death as do all humans. the animals were created perfect and were never given a command which would result in death if they disobey, so they didn't inherit death through sin, they have always had sin and death as part of them.
the creation account names them as souls (gen 1:24)
ezekial 18:4 shows that every soul that is sinning will die, (which is biblical evidence against an immortal soul as every soul sins).
ecclesiastes 9:5 shows the state of the dead. they are conscious of nothing at all.
Jesus's death was intended to pay the ransom of adams sin, and regain perfection for humans who will follow Him and His Father Jehovah. the ransom was not for animals, so animals will not be resurrected.
animals do not go to heaven or 'hell', nor are they resurrected. they are just dead and unconscious

here's what I have observed. I had a friend with a quiet dog. Owner was going to die and asked to bring the dog in to get prayer. He was prayed over for salvation and immediately got up and ran happily around the church barking like crazy and jumping and happy looking but I do not think he spoke in togues but then how would I know.

[6:38] All the creatures on earth, and all the birds that fly with wings, are communities like you. We did not leave anything out of this book.** To their Lord, all these creatures will be summoned***.

Because all life will return to God after he ends the Earth and the Universe. Everything returns to God. Where else would life go?
