I've been in the trades for a long time, but maybe I've been asleep for much of that???

Without any detail about the current door, or opening, this might be difficult to answer.

Is the DOORWAY large enough to accommodate FRENCH DOORS,,,those being two doors?

What GRID work are you talking about?

Are you talking about a door that is split horizonatlly and opens both or either at the top and/or bottom?

French doors are two doors, perhaps two @ 2/8 and close to a center point in the middle of the DOORWAY opening.

Perhaps I'm too old school, and need to buy a hot dof vendor trailer to tow around to gas station parking lots???

You can either contact a window & door company in your area or go to a lumber store (Home Depot).
