It's OK to question religions and religious virtues. If you are not happy with the philosophy, you are wise to look at other teachings. In your heart though, know that God exists and know the creator loves you. Remember, God created everything, including you and everyone else. This is the reason all people need to treat everyone with respect. However, I believe in karma as well. I think those who choose to do evil will be paid back. So, you may not have a religion, but trust in God! Lead a good life and believe in God.

First of all, it's perfectly OK not to be like everyone else in this respect. Just because most people "choose" a religion doesn't mean it's a good idea to do so. I find it more satisfying to continue to learn about and think about things without latching onto some weird ideology. Also, it's perfectly OK to say that you don't know or that you're a little confused. After all, isn't it the people who think they have it all figured out who cause all of the problems. Have you ever heard of a band of agnostics attacking anyone? You asked why you couldn't click with a religion. Maybe you can't click with a religion because you're smart enough to see through all of the B.S. I definitely sympathize with you. I was raised Christian and thought for a long time that there must be something wrong with me for thinking it all sounded so ridiculous and ugly. There is nothing wrong with you, and there is nothing wrong with me, but I think there are some serious problems with religion.

You sound like you are seeking for a religion that you find to be real. I used to be a Christian and thought that that was true. Then, I realized that I was just believing what I had been forced to believe. Most people seem to "click" with a particular religion because they don't question what they are told growing up. They just accept it as fact and do not do any research or questioning. That type of thinking leads people to blindly trust their leaders and not to question their religious authority. That leads to extremism. You on the other hand have done something some people never do. You have questioned what you were told to think and opened you mind to other possibilities. Bravo! You are thinking for yourself instead of being force fed beliefs. You do not have to fit into a constructed box of ideas to be religious. It is ok to be unique. That's what makes you you.

Wicca? You mean those that accept their plight and want to make the best of it? Honey, ain't nobody got it right. And if you buy into it then I have some beach front property in Arizona that I want to sell you.
You want the truth? The truth is inside of you. That is where God resides. He is a part of us and we in him. God's not out there selling tickets to Heaven.
It is the "devils" work to separate us from God. To divide our free will. This is really impossible but there is a misconception that it can be done by convincing us all that we can be separated from the "oneness" with God. Why it would even be a conceived idea in the first place is beyond me.
So don't go listening to anybody else. Look inside yourself and you will see the truth. You can feel it and know that it is real.
When God was asked who he was his response was; "I am is who I am". I believe I am and will live forever. (I am, it's not just a name.)

I had the same problem. Religion seemed to contradict its self constantly.
I figured that There was just nothing out there for me.
Then a friend suggested a book called the course in miracles.
No contradictions. And a logical version of God that actually made some sense.
It has honestly changed my life.
You can read my review of it on amazon.
It is usually the first one that comes up under the description of the book.
Try it, It's worth the effort.
Love and blessings Don

Do you really need a specific religion in order to be a decent person? Or are you simply trying to "fit in" with a clique?
It sounds like you're doing just fine by discovering the world without all the self-imposed limitations that religion offers, so just live however you feel is best.
I find that I feel rather free by living that way.

Not "clicking" with a religion is ok. Most of the people who do were either indoctrinated by their parents and community or were deprived of such thoughts until later in life.
I think the best way to live is to have your own beleifs. Major religions bind people to a certain set of ideas and blind them to others. They put one in fear of doing anything the slightest bit wrong, for that one second religious error is indeed worthy of eternal punishment. They tell people what to beleive in and accept no alternative. Beleifs should be personal and come from your own thoughts, not others'.
I say live without fear or worry of being disconnected from that part of society. The less people can impose on you, the happier you will be.

Well I was catholic, now I am not...
U take ur time, dont hurry up, but keep in ur mind one thing: ur feith in one God must remain no matter what...no matter the church, the institution, the people or the one u love. U only focus in ur direct relationship with God, search the truth in other religions, study them deeply...it might take some years, but is good that u make questions.
I am going to give u a link, be open minded and dont let biased information stand on the way...u just watch and compare and look another sources... God will appreciate ur efforts.

Though you went to church, it seems that you never really Let God Be your Lord and Savior. It has been said that people miss heaven by 18 inches, the distance from their head to their heart. You might have known what the bible teaches, though it never became part of who you are. The Bible teaches that non-believers are spiritually discerned and neither can they know the spiritual things. Nothing that this world offers will ever satisfy the longing deep within your heart. Please reconsider Turning your heart back unto God. He has not and will never let you down. Those who seek Him with all their heart will find Him. He loves you, and He will always love you, There is no purpose in or for life apart from the giver of life.

Well, instead of a religion, how about a personal relationship with God? Does that sound like something you are looking for?
Jesus said:
'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.' Rev. 3:20
While that was written to a particular church, it does tell us how to ask Jesus into our lives.
There is one caveat, however:
"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
And:
Romans 10:8-10
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart"—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, [9] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; [10] for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
No pressure, just what the Bible says. I hope you find the peace you seem to be missing.
