I don't think this is the problem "every" time, but I know that "some" of those older people are maybe starting to lose their memory, and can't remember whether it was you or "them" that did the wrong thing. They don't want to admit that this may be the case, so they blame you. Not "always the case, but "sometimes. Try to be sensitive towards them though if you can, because they are frightened by this thought. Plus YOU & I will be that age some day "too." Okay?

i also get this problem alot esspically fron my dad he knows my brother does somthing and he says "since you are the older siblin gyou have to fix this mistake because you werent watching your brother."The reason why older people blaim you for somthing you didnt do is because they dont know who else could hae done it and so they blame you .it also could be that they know it might not have been you but since you are the only person they can think of that could have done the "crime" is you.

Don't worry; you'll probably grow out of this way of thinking when you're about 15 or so; most people do, I think...

hmmmm, it's probably because they just assume you did it and are lying about it.

I'm sorry you got in trouble. Maybe the truth will come out.

blame is expediently disposed of and/or sometimes taken for granted by the older more detached adult
