My Siamese cat which is about 3 or 4 years old does not bite anyone in my family accept my sister. I was thinking that it may because that she is a female that is encroaching on the cat's territory. But is there a reason for this?

Depends on the type of bites. If it's a playful "gnawing" it could mean that your cat likes your sister best. Otherwise you're probably right on the number. Cats and Dogs both have pecking orders. Most times it's clear that the people are higher than they are. Sometimes though the animals try to move their status up. Has your sister been out of the house more than usual of late? Or just out of the cat's view? Has she been spending more time with a family member your cat is overly fond of? We had a Jack Russell terrier when I was growing up. When she was a puppy the cats assert dominance so she was always at the very bottom of the pecking order. However once the older cats passed and we got new kittens she was dominant over them. Then I went away to college. When I came back she suddenly growled at me when I leaned against my mother or spent too much time with her, if I sat in bed with her, or if I sat in a place my dog liked, etc etc. She suddenly thought she was higher in the order than me.
When the cat bites your sister make sure she holds the cats gaze and does not avert her eyes or invert her chin towards her chest. If she needs to she can hold the cat firmly by it's sides and look it in the eyes and say no in a firm voice. These signals indicate to the cat that she is still above her in the chain. Also have your sister be the one to feed the cat every day for a few weeks. It sometimes takes a while but I did reassert dominance with my puppy and then we got to go back to being great friends all the time. Hope this helps.

Has your cat been fixed? It could be a territory thing. Otherwise, does your sister like cats? Is she perhaps mildly (or worse) allergic to cats? Perhaps your sister plays too roughly with the cat?

My parents' oldest cat likes to bite me, but only when she's feeling playful and I'm silly enough to put my hand near her.

via fact the cat replaced into interior the backyard i do no longer think of criminal you would be made to have her placed to sleep yet you would be able to desire to handle this formerly it occurs back. you would be able to desire to seek for the help of a solid canines behavious. The proprietors of the cat rightfully would be very disillusioned and you need to understand that and you will't enable it to take place back because it is the 2d time you canines has killed a lots enjoyed families puppy . you would be able to desire to stand your canines has a topic and handle formerly it occurs back. As a to blame puppy proprietor you would be able to desire to take the responbility so your puppy isn't risky to different lots enjoyed families pets.

Your sister probably smells like fish, thus making the cat hungry.
