Sometimes people just need time to accept the fact. Gently approach the topic of possiby buying an urn or scattering the remains in his favorite spot. If she isn't willing to listen, she isn't ready to let go just yet. Give her time, no one knows what she is going through and everyone grieves differently. Hope this helps!

I just recently went to my husbands grandmothers memorial and she was cremated. They have these really cool urns now and that is what her son did for her. They are shaped like flowers or I have even seen one that is shaped like dolphins jumping out of the ocean. Maybe you could ask her if she has thought about something like that

Let her keep carrying him around. My dad was cremated and my sister keeps alittle bit of his remains up on her kitchen counter. I didn't keep any because thats not really my dad thats just his remains, but I believe he is somewhere starting over. It makes her feel better having him with her, so leave it be.

Maybe direct her to LifeGems.com...they turn ashes into diamonds and she could then pass the jewelry onto the next generation when her time comes.

Well when they get cremated the survivor (i.e wife/mother) also receives a death certificate that allows them to take their remains how they please as long as they have that piece of paper. And it has to be the person on that paper who has the remains, anyone else is f....! But as far as taking the remains shopping with you . That's freaky

She'll stop when she needs to.
If she's at all open to suggestion, you can try suggesting she carry a small bit in a locket or prayer box charm.

get her something fancy to put him in that is too heavy to carry, otherwise just let it be. Grieving is necessary, and each does it their own way.. DO NOT MAKE HER FEEL ANYTHING ELSE BAD NOW, LIKE REJECTION OR SHAME.
