Leave their daughter and go on her birthday dinner with out her? They were too hungary to wait for her boyfriend to get off work so they left without her. On her own birthday!!!

The parents are very intolerant of the boyfriend. I imagine they have had about all of the boyfriend they can stand. They raised you and clearly, you are the only person who thinks enough of your boyfriend to wast your time waiting on him.
I am the same way. My daughter has a boyfriend who is worthless and I left her about 3 weeks ago because of her skank boyfriend, and I would do it again. I hope the message speaks loud and clear to her. I dont like him!

Parents who are trying to show that they really dont like the boyfriend without using words... probably in fear of her reply.
Or parents who feel like their daughter cares more about a boyfriend than her own parents and who weren't about to put themselves out again.
Why didn't you go out with them?? they are the reason you exist!!! you could have just gone out with your boyfriend after dinner, or he could have met you for desert. I think you were wrong in this - i think you should be less selfish and see that you were rude and should apologize to your parents.
