I didnt lose my husband but we did purchase an extra armor plate for him. It was 100% better then what he was issued. If he hadnt had it he wouldnt of returned home because he took a blow to his chest. The plate we bought him was the best plate that they make and I am thankful everyday that we bought and so is his daugther.

I helped my husband pack his heavy body armor before he left for Iraq all soldiers are issued this its a requirement. And no i havent lost anyone if you are asking if anyone has lost someone due to the lack of body armor the answer is highley doubtful because most soldiers are Killed by IED's

I believe the soldiers are issued body armour. Before my daughter left and she put all her gear on; I could not believe all the weight and gear she has to wear; plus in all that heat. My heart goes out to all the military. I have quite a few friends over there and have not "lost" any of them and "God-willing", they'll all come home safely.

My parents sent me some dragon skin body armor(look it up). Its heavy and useless. It doesnt stop any rpgs or ak 47 bullets. I gave it to some iraqi kid to play with. he strapped it to a dog for target practice! It does however keep the camel spider bites down to a minimum. i hope they are not not reading this!
