Schools have done a very poor job, in allowing kids to take control. Schools should be more imposing, constructive, psychologically charged than they now are. They currently do the basics of providing an education and security. They are more concerned with a disaster like Columbine than the real problems that face students. Such as how to deal with school drama and world events, peer pressure, gangs, drugs, etc.

Too serve the middle/upper class, keep the dominant group ideals and agendas in control, make it more difficult for low income schools to receive funding by highly bias standarized testing, thus causing a lack of resources. It is a vicious cycle.
